Winter season (Dec - Feb)

The winter season of Nepal is cold and dry with frequent snowfall at higher elevation. During this season the higher region of Nepal is covered with snow and the trekking to higher elevation is risky due extreme cold climate. The trekking to Lowlands is rather more favorable.

Spring season (Mar-May)

The temperature remains moderate throughout the country in this season with rare showers of rain. So this season is the most favorable among the seasons for trek in Nepal as it perfectly fits all kinds of treks on Himalayas (Highland trips), Lowland trips in southern Nepal as well as hiking on the green hills with prosperous vegetation. Summer (Jun-Aug):

During summer the climate is hot accompanied with occasional rainfall. The hikes in the hills are disturbed as the trial becomes muddy.
